    The Cosmic Open Source Movement
Your individual world view, your philosophy of life, can be seen as your personal operating system. And if we look to the core principals of any robust OS system or program/application, the ones which are most evolved, and possess the most potential for further evolutionary elegance, are those which are open source & dynamic in nature. How can these same principals be applied when looking to ourselves, nature and the cosmos?

I propose this new Holy Trinity.

    Developer (creator, that which creates)
    Code (nature, that which is)
    User (consciousness, that which experiences)

All 3 are aspects of the same source & being, expressing a 1:3 divine ratio

We are the playwright, the play & the player

    The designer, experience & experiencer

    and finally...

    god, cosmos, & being

    .
As we deepen our understanding of the code, mechanics & underlying principals of nature – through genomics, micro-biology, physics, etc... It is revealed to us how nature operates at a certain level. These learnings could benefit our role as the "New Holy Trinity", so we might evolve the divine code of nature.

Nature is the ultimate creative medium.

There is also our collective operating system. Which we are co-creating at this very moment. It's a cosmic open source movement like know other!

And at a personal operating system level, we are experiencing at greater depths, our understanding of the 'Mind at Large', consciousness & Being. The workings, light & landscape within and without. And with this, we can create, evolve, and weave a new consciousness unto the cosmos, and within ourselves.

Great presentation by Enriquez dude. Can't wait for all physical objects to have a "view source" button so that we can experiment with the fabric of reality in real-time with tools like Firebug. This will be a safe trial and error situation, as any changes made to reality will be in Hypothetical-mode.

Although, I think we should be careful taking the computer-metaphor too literally, as there are still vast areas of nature that we have no concept or understanding of. The metaphor helps us conceptualize and visualize our personal, current reality to a point, but we should not let it this somewhat Frankenstinian version of it limit our map of the world.

Yes my friend... you are right. It does serve only as a convenient metaphor which we can hang onto under our current understanding. But I do feel it's of great importance that every human being understands that she/he are the creator & created.

The shortcomings of language when talking of such things are everpresent. As 'the map is not the territory".

Yes I agree with your points (the infrastructure is apparently being built as we speak), and the Map has indeed nothing to do with the Territory (always loved that quote). It's pretty scary to start to learn about how our world is created with code and to be able to mess with it is even scarier. I hope our sense of responsibilty evolves as fast as our ape-man genetic programming skills...

The TED site is well done, you know who designed it?
