What would you like to see in a magazine?

Well, for starters, it needs address an intelligent audience, sophisticated yet simple in its approach, a no-nonsense approach to the incredible amount of information available concerning the future of humanity, it needs be both concise and aesthetically pleasing with a wide variety of POV’s, both presenting and criticizing, visions, insights and knowledge in a multivalent manner.
Second, I would love to see a mag that thinks independently and does not rehash old views and concepts; freshness would be my main desire.

What would make you pick it up, save it, and keep your eye out for the next issue?

Fresh views, novel ideas, out of the box presentation, interesting ideas that do not commonly appear in other mags.

There seems to be a lot of magazines these days, and while I love a magazine, there are few that interest me enough to actually want to buy. What would set a new magazine apart in your eyes from the rest of the drivel currently out there?

its potential to show/present/promote unseen/unspoken/unknown aspects of our existence and motion into the future

Which—if any—magazines do you currently appreciate, and why?

Seed mag, wired mag, SciAm mind
(see the reasons above)

Would you possibly be willing to contribute your talent (writing, art, design, music, etc) on a one-time or ongoing basis to such a publication? Without monetary compensation? (The aim of course would be to pay contributors what they deserve, but unless somebody throws down a pile of cash somewhere, we've got to start modestly)

yes
, one time or on-going, depending on the content and interest

*on a side note, indeed as you have said there are many mags out there, "futurist oriented" is maybe a too broad description , maybe if you could refine the description of the intent and potential audience you aim to address.
thanks for the proposition
