nagashTue, Dec 1, 2009 It's sad that many future tragedies will not be avoided simply because people cant react to danger until it is in your face. no matter how loud we stress the current social, ecological and energy issues of the planet... most people just don't care, and will not care until the water reach their feet. then, it will be too late, of course, but that's what it takes to a global awareness: global tragedy.
don't get me wrong, I do believe we must keep fighting... at least, I will.
this "doom" you talk about can not be avoided in many respects, but we can think forward to it. like the people that are freezing and storing coral sample from all varieties and species. It's already a fact that coral reefs will vanish from earth in the next decade. so, we better secure the means so we can rebuild them in the future... maybe.
