HelloAlexCLFri, Dec 11, 2009 What I meant was that a collective intelligence could arise once a planetary purpose was recognized. Although I remain optimistic about our future as a species, I'm sort of pessimistic of how we'll recognize our own power. I think it's most likely to occur through the result of a disaster or a series of disasters. It could be something like the outbreak of a manmade supervirus, a virus that might kill us or an integral part of our ecosystem. Most likely though, it will be climate change. When environmental conditions of our own agency make much less of our earth inhabitable to us or plunge the world into dispersed warfare, people will wake up to their own power and thus potential.
@weather I had a similar thought when I was looking at a spiderweb the other day.
