There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more. ---Lord Byron

    Collective Intelligence
Oh how the collective intelligence of the members of this website blows my mind... The recent posts about the illusion of individualism and the collective nature of the universe, I think, fit well with the topics discussed in this book I recently came across. I have only skimmed through it quickly, but as soon as I saw it I knew it would of great interest to most people here.

    Enjoy.

Scifi makes a direct appearance in "Safety Glass" by Karl Schroeder, also in the archived papers at http://www.oss.net/CIB  . Thanks.

I empathize with your amazement in regards to this site. I find myself posting ideas here which would otherwise not have a context or home on the web. Keep posting — few comment, but many read.
