The website main goal is to "Contain a page with pictures, text, and other information for every species and for each group of organisms, living or extinct."

The first picture is what is on the first page of the website.
When you are on the site, click around on the picture. It will take you to different pages.
As for the other pictures, I found them on the Tree of Life site. Clicking on pictures of the animals will pull up information about the animals as well as who contributed the photographs.
