Aye. Stress management. Sometimes it just creeps up and you may not even realize until you're in the thick of it. A long walk/run is really helpful for me. Breathing and being alone is important. I feel so much better after lying in bed and putting my feet up raised above heart level for good circulation.

As for preventative, I try to identify the source of my stress as soon as it arises. Sometimes simply addressing it, acknowledging it and dealing with it immediately (if possible) alleviates time otherwise spent dwelling. I've noticed that even a very trivial issue can a send a wave of uneasiness over me that lingers if I become preoccupied with other things. Just the simple act of confronting it and coming to terms with it can make a huge difference.
