The field of computational aesthetics is making very interesting inroads with regard to understanding the basic formulation of aesthetics beauty – also to a certain degree why we find certain patterns pleasing. And this is the most interesting question - why do we as humans find certain form combinations and patterns beautiful? – and does that attraction to beauty allow us to understand the world around us?
