An artist has got to be careful never really to arrive at a place where he thinks he's at somewhere. You always have to realize that you're constantly in the state of becoming. ~ Bob Dylan

    Leary v Tesla v God
    If:

Nikola Tesla = wants to stand proudly next to his maker,

    then:

Timothy Leary = wants to dethrone God by becoming him (become an evolutionary agent, be the programmer of his own mind and the universe, become immortal).

    What do you think?

I'm not so sure if Tim has such designs. However, both he and Tesla have of course the trappings of the mad scientist who are often accused of wanting to play god. I wonder where LSD fits in that metaphor.
