Simulating the joint evolution of quasars, galaxies and their large-scale distribution
    http://www.mpa-garching.mpg.de/galform/millennium/

This movie shows the dark matter distribution in the universe at the present time, based on the Millennium Simulation, the largest N-body simulation carried out thus far (more than 1010 particles). By zooming in on a massive cluster of galaxies, the movie highlights the morphology of the structure on different scales, and the large dynamic range of the simulation (105 per dimension in 3D). The zoom extends from scales of several Gpc down to resolved substructures as small as ~10 kpc.

This animation shows all scheduled flights over a 24h period (based on 2008 data). Every day 93,000 flights are starting from approx. 9,000 airports. At all times there are between 8,000 and 13,000 airplanes in the air. This animation was produced for the high definition 3D-Globe "Orbitarium" in Technorama - The Swiss Science Center in collaboration with the Institute of Applied Information Technology (InIT), Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

    hello everybody,
    it looks great..

NODE08 - Forum for digital Arts
    April 5th - 12th 2008
    Velvet Club Frankfurt Germany

NODE08 is dedicated to the arts of digital media. Whether its about media art, controlling lighting systems, interactions with the real world, synaesthetic experiences or video projections into 3d spaces – either way, software becomes the central working media. The focus of this event lies in the workshops and speeches in which artists, designers, architects and the technical minded share their knowledge and works by means of various exhibitions and situations with the Luminale audience. Meet renowned artists from all over the world and developers who – inspired by the many possibilities – realize a great deal of their projects employing the software project vvvv, which started out in Frankfurt am Main.

    for example:
    Paul Prudence (http://www.dataisnature.com)
    Casey Reas (http://www.processing.org)
Mark Fornes & Skylar Tibbits (http://www.theverymany.net/)
    Regine Debatty (http://www.we-make-money-not-art.com/)

Check the complete program and get your lecture pass here.
