Fierce Love and Responsibility
It was 1989 when I experienced a certain life changing event which helped me to awake from a fearful apocalyptic nightmare definition of reality that ruled my every day during my teenage life. An event so strong that it triggered a wave of transformation that gradually helped me see the futility of my definitions and how they were dis-empowering me to do anything effective toward negating the awesome darkness I saw before me. In a strange and lonely place I found a leap of faith and within myself the realization of choices I had never given to and began to dispel the darkness and cancel doomsday personally.... They say horses will run into a burning barn overwhelmed by the reaction in their minds from the sight of the fire. That was me, then. Today, I am no longer overwhelmed to the point of powerlessness by the horrors of human atrocity. It took what seems like a lot of miracles, besides herculean efforts to get to this stage. A stage where I want to look at the darkness again - not in morbid way or a half empty fashion. No. In a way as to find what It is that I can do - some how - some way - now that am wiser and stronger and more fierce than ever in my empathy - internally and externally ... So if alarms are triggered when I put some things here, my intention is to cultivate awareness of the things that we fear to face, so that we do not succumb to define ourselves into a place powerlessness. I want to wake up. I must wake up. Many people are powerless, are true victims and do not have the resources and tools some of us are fortunate to have. Here.
