Life is a series of holidays and nothing more.
This is an idea I've been toying with for a while.
Have you ever noticed how some people's lives are centered around holidays?

Think about it, we spend our lives skipping from one holiday to the next. After one is over, we look ahead and begin to make plans for the next one. In the dull bits in between all the birthdays and such, we just go about our days making preparations for the next, while we are distracted by other things that keep us entertained.

The perspective I have maintained for years now is that I'm always on holiday.
It just happens to be a working holiday. :-)

Dammit, that is so freaking true!!

I just went to my psychiatrist today. He said that we all need to have a pattern to make life works. I guess what you mentioned here is one type of patterns of some people's lives. Some people live with a pattern of chasing one goal after another. Once they accomplished one, they look ahead for the nest, just like how we chase after holidays. Just that holidays are easier for us to follow because they are always on the calendar.

But i don't enjoy holidays anymore, that's also why I'm seeing psychiatrist.
