This is the story of Liza: a space station resident in a struggle with the reality of her world. Her station, Electric 6, was designed to be the most complete, and most human satisfying station. It has machines to answer any human need. There are odorifics for memory and kaleidoscoping light glasses for spirituality. Any weakness of soul or spirit has a mechanical fix. Liza finds herself doubting the necessity of each device and longing for a world where she might be a more active participant.
