    Designing Science Fiction...
The course will be loosely inspired by the movie (and the book) The Man who Fell to Earth in which David Bowie plays an extraterrestrial visitor...
    Now playing SpaceCollective
Where forward thinking terrestrials share ideas and information about the state of the species, their planet and the universe, living the lives of science fiction. Introduction
Featuring Powers of Ten by Charles and Ray Eames, based on an idea by Kees Boeke.

Ok...this might be a bit out of place, but I'm posting it nonetheless. It's a quirky video on downtown LA. The editing is a bit hard to watch at times (too much, too fast makes me dizzy), but I found it to be an good example of developing interest/fascination out of the most mundane of things.

this was a very interesting video. not so much because of the similarities to disney land, but because downtown los angeles is a mecca for gorgeous architecture and surprising hidden treasures that very few in the city have seen, or even know exist!

i have lived downtown for over two years. in that time i have scoured the hidden treasures that exist nearly everywhere. for instance, the los angeles theatre on broadway and 6th, is probably the most insanely beautiful piece of interior work i have ever seen.

they are currently showing old movies in this theater, built by charlie chaplin to premier his movie city lights. see a movie there, only one more left this year.
