Described as a “knowledge collider,” and now with a pledge of one billion euros from the European Union, the Living Earth Simulator is a new big data and supercomputing project that will attempt to uncover the underlying sociological and psychological laws that underpin human civilization. In the same way that CERN’s Large Hadron Collider smashes together protons to see what happens, the Living Earth Simulator (LES) will gather knowledge from a Planetary Nervous System (PNS — yes, really) to try to predict societal fluctuations such as political unrest, economic bubbles, disease epidemics, and so on.
Orchestrated by FuturICT, which is basically a consortium of preeminent scientists, computer science centers around the world, and high-power computing (HPC) installations, the Living Earth Simulator hopes to correlate huge amounts of data — including real-time sources such as Twitter and web news — and extant, but separate approaches currently being used by other institutions, into a big melting pot of information. To put it into scientific terms, the LES will analyze techno-socio-economic-environmental (!) systems. From this, FuturICT hopes to reveal the tacit agreements and hidden laws that actually govern society, rather than the explicit, far-removed-from-reality bills and acts that lawmakers inexorably enact.
The scale of the LES, when it’s complete, will be huge. It is hoped that supercomputing centers all over the world will chip in with CPU time, and data will be corralled from existing projects and a new Global Participatory Platform, which is basically open data on a worldwide scale. The project also has commercial backing from Microsoft Research, IBM, Yahoo Research, and others. All told, the system will create useful knowledge in the fields of energy, networks and communication, economics, crime and corruption, migration, health, and crisis management.
The timing of EU’s billion-euro grant is telling, too. As you probably know, the European Union is struggling to keep the plates spinning, and the LES, rather handily, will probably be the most accurate predictor of economic stability in the world. Beyond money, though, it is hoped that the LES and PNS can finally tell us why humans do things, like watch a specific TV show, buy a useless gadget, or start a revolution.
Looking at the larger picture, the Living Earth Simulator is really an admission that we know more about the physical universe than the social. We can predict with startling accuracy whether an asteroid will hit Earth, but we know scant little about how society might actually react to an extinction-level event. We plough billions of dollars into studying the effects and extent of climate change, but what if understood enough of the psychology and sociology behind human nature to actually change our behavior?

So what we have for now since Internet developed?
We have almost everything to build a world based on a Socratic dialogue "The Republic" and use the best concept where each person gave according to their abilities, and received according to their needs. It is very-very next door to humanity. Let's try to sum up technologies we have and technologies we need to complete the puzzle.
Everybody knows the meaning of such abbreviation as b2b, b2c, g2c etc (business-to-business, business-to-client, government-to-citizen). I suggest a new expression - W2H = world-to-human. We have all possibilites to fill our world with this word. Because as you know the word is in the beginning.
What do we have now:
- social networks, forums, collective blogs and other communities and groups of interests,
- web-based tools to work more effectively in crowdsourcing,
- web-based resource systems of knowledge (wikipedia, databases, any information),
- many systems of calculating the respect or karma of person in different networks (ratings, number of followers etc),
- many markets and companies.
So every human and society have these main needs:
- affilation,
- esteem,
- cognition,
- physiologie,
- safety.
Also we have thoughts which became the ideas and every person have an ability to be a performer in it.
If we total it we would obtain a vector for headway of humanity and it equals feasibility of implementation.
Most natural non-hierarchical system is alike neural which is truely embodied in peering networks, Netsukuku as an example.Then we have to add a currency in it. I won't continue to list other things that we have already, let's speak about lacks of elements.
We need a new system of identification. Here is how Wikipedia explains the meaning of this concept: "System identification is a general term to describe mathematical tools and algorithms that build dynamical models from measured data."
But this system of q/a-algorithms isn't capable to our model of a perfect world.
Here's my first question: Does anybody know about new systems of identification?
Let's try to find other weaknesses of such world, please feel free to discuss anything in comments. I have to notice only one point. The last thing I would like to discuss is a humanity.
Because this article is not about the humanity, it's about amount of technology.
It's too late for transferring to tomorrow what should have been done yesterday. Let's use Internet as is - as an accelerator. Think, unite, transform thoughts into energy and energy into our world today!

I have some thoughts about new community. In Russia we have very corrupted police, law courts and government. A short time ago our police officers started some public campaign to be heard by our people and the President. They have done the website where they post their videos with opinions, suggestions and complaints for their chiefs and all of the system. But it's only beginning and of course this phenomenons are widespread. In the USA it's Joe Stack who was fed up with all his attempts for fair justice. So I'm thinking about some community for every man from every country to deanonymize the problems with laws, government, world order etc.. That community where independent citizens of our planet would solve real problems of humanity, not the 'climate changes' or 'h1n1'. Sounds like utopia, but I think it really necessary for the start of government like synergetics+politics='web-cracy' that would be really fair and every person will have common rights and responsibilities. 'Wiki-government' or any other naming, no matter.
I had some thoughts about a new type of media resource/news agency. But time passed and it became more functional. I'm currently seeking for like-minded persons and partners for this project. Please write me if you are interested in making such society.
Let's make distance between world leaders and human a nano dimension. Every man is responsible for our future.
