Now playingSpaceCollective Where forward thinking terrestrials share ideas and information about the state of the species, their planet and the universe, living the lives of science fiction.Introduction Featuring Powers of Ten by Charles and Ray Eames, based on an idea by Kees Boeke.
Today was announced that Adobe and a big group of tech brands launches de Open Screen Project. That is a very good step for the Flash Platform, and one more of the good way for establish a standard to sharing experiences and information across the air.
Personally, I thought that to enjoy and understand all the things that come with this hurry-future, humans need actions like this. There is a lot of information, everyday and, like our brains has empower his capabilities to ingest more and more information, trying to understand and categorize it on a human knowledge way, the objectives of companies evolved unconsciently to a major priority and a bigger and profit market.
I expect that on a few months I will start a post with a phrase like this: Welcome to the new window, and use it to be more clever and agile. It will be wonderful :)
Last days, i'm working on the second phase of Tvpro. This project is actually online, and you can visit and enjoy the channels and movies that were free online (spanish version).
The second phase will improve a lot of features and the team will do a hard work to focus the usability to a new levels. A lot of phases are in mind ^_^
A dossier is been doing to empower the sales presentations. You can see a preliminar version here.
Actually a lot of televisions are migrating they contents to the internet platform. BBC is breaking with his Iplayer. In Spain, a lot of televisions are following the steeps of BBC, and we ara finishing the new site for RTVE (the spanish public channel), we launch recendly Telecinco, and we are talking with other televisions and other enterprises to deliver their contents to the biggest audience (multichannel is supported).
I think , this movement is necessary to follow the future, and I'm surprised about the speed of this "migration"
I saw a post from cfetherston that question about how we can separate the brand with emotions. This is a bizarre process, but very necessary actually. I think, a first step is know the enemy, and their plan, and to help this objective, nothing better than "The Corporation", a distribution free film by Mark Archbar, Jennifer Abbott and Joel Bakan.
The Corporation is today's dominant institution, creating great wealth but also great harm. This 26 award-winning documentary examines the nature, evolution, impacts and future of the modern business corporation and the increasing role it plays in society and our everyday lives.
The firts spanish elections debate can be analised with this interactive tool.
I think it is a wonderfull aplication for everyone, and movements like that, from a public enterprise, improve the power of the information.
Communi (where I'm working actually) develops this kind of widget trying to encourage and simplify the way like people understand the issues of a general elections.
Thanks to Raúl , David, Xavi, Hernán and Ezequiel for their efforts.
2- With my new smartphone, i can see the evolution, my view of it :)
Its curious that the first format (slide device) was from the begginning the best design, and when Nokia did new models, return to the slide concept "A good idea is ever a good idea"
"How the Internet revolution has produced a counterrevolution of devastating power and effect. The explosion of innovation we have seen in the environment of the Internet was not conjured from some new, previously unimagined technological magic; instead, it came from an ideal as old as the nation. Creativity flourished there because the Internet protected an innovation commons. The Internet’s very design built a neutral platform upon which the widest range of creators could experiment. The legal architecture surrounding it protected this free space so that culture and information–the ideas of our era–could flow freely and inspire an unprecedented breadth of expression. But this structural design is changing–both legally and technically."
Enjoy this new year, more than another because this year have an eight at the end, and in diferents cultures, the years that end with this number, express a new point of view, and the openning of diferents doors and ways of living =)
I'm proud to congrats you the New Year with a very national video.
Those were the last moments of the 2007 on the city of Barcelona; talking in Catalan, the national channel transmit the traditional 12 grapes from Agbar Tower, summing up the Catalan’s achievements of the year and with a mixed lights architectural innovative sonorous performance with the original reactable, a new (I hear from it since 1 year ago) multi-user interface to make music.
I think about how the Catalan people do some things, and I’m proudly of being a citizen of a Mediterranean culture town.
Jan Chipchase is a special man. His perspective about the world and its global habits is brilliant and very interesting too. He works for Nokia, as principal researcher. Traveling around the world analyzing all he see, from human to pattern to empower the way that we interact with technology or how we can speed up the different process in our real global world.
Jan’s research is amazing in a lot of ways, but you have the video "Jan Chipchase: Our cell phones, ourselves" to discover by yourself.
This is one of my playlist at Youtube. It contains a good perspective about how can be "watching throught a little window" in a near future. There are 4 videos about personal projects (TMPO, Meetme, Maremon and LayoutManager)and other from Nokia design. Another meaning of the title is revelated at the end of the post.
Press material of TMPO distributed at Adobe MAX Chicago 2007
P.D.: With these videos, you are watching a reduced version of material that is available on a bigger resolution. It was a frustating experience? No, here we have a simple test that explain "another point of view" of the shared data. Like we have another window to enjoy on another situations, we can recycle our culture, like we were always doing, oposite from create a new individual platforms or medias.
