Personally, I love root words. So I must say the truth is in the meaning or connotation of the 3 letter root. Not in it's usage. &#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
As a side note Science and Technology usually follows a parallel course with language. &#60;br /&#62;
ie. NASA (root possibly is NSA)!&#60;br /&#62;
&#60;br /&#62;
