    A "Visual" Search Engine
Searchme is a "visual" search engine that offers up a preview of the pages your search pulls up. The results are displayed in "stacks" like the picture in this post. You can find it here:  http://www.searchme.com/

Look, this engine is also visual with links between topics (clustering):

I don't know if it is good though, sometimes the data is a little scarce compared to the "size" of invention of clustering.

Here's another visual tool for Firefox:

Definitely a step in the right direction. As a Flash Developer I'm drawn to such things but honestly feel that it may need a "between" step to get there as we move from the now accepted "norm" and simplicity of google/yahoo serving up simple text. Though the "cover flow" has quickly become the accepted norm via iTunes. But in iTunes as a user there is some sense of how large the library or query is, where in this case and cool Iris for that matter I am unsure how many results are found and how long the list I may need to scroll is. What works in Cool Iris's favor though is how smooth and elegant the flow is and how gracefully it transitions and builds. Searchme still seems a bit jerky - the intuitive results driven icon "quick links" are pretty sweet though, but between that and the surrounding navigation elements/filters/display list below etc... the UI gets pretty crowded. Awesome tool though for weeding through the results without having to click-in click-out, click-in click-out...

On the other hand one of the things that I really like about the space collective layout is the snapshot thumbs or list view options for the display and that when I select an article to view, all of the other articles are still there, no detour needed.
