A first approach to our story treatment (posted on Joshua’s time capsule).
Chapter 1
Dumb people overload
“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”
God… what in the world was he thinking when he wrote this? How dare he; as smart as I consider Martin Luther King Jr. I wouldn’t actually have the guts to say that all men are born equal. There are lots of them that are in fact, born DUMB. Yes, tall, good-looking, faultless bright teeth, 20/20 vision and hair that never thins, but dumb. Well, maybe I shoud give some credit to the dude, there was no genetic engeneering at his time. We live in a rapid growing generation of forged perfect-looking people with rarely any state of the art skills. Some of them grow up thinking that Fidel Castro is a singer, Tony Blair an actor and that Israel’s religion is Israeli. The sad thing is that they are already affecting the world economy, but of course, they are so dumb they don’t even notice.
I always wonder what would happen if we could breed geniuses. Each generation would be intellectually challenged earlier and therefore would accomplish discoveries earlier, or even better, what if brain cells were the only part of the body being stimulated. Why do we have to go through the whole growing older process? Body is becoming obsolete, an unnecessary drag. Telepathy is the future.
Who am I kidding, inter-fetus telepathy? I would be satisfied if only I didn’t have to deal with this entire dumb people world. I hate it; I wish I could focus only in important matters not in running errands or having dinner out at a restaurant with them, they are like a terminal disease, a virus that will eat us all (the smart ones). We need to escape.
Yes, there was a time in which “all men were created equal”, but not anymore…
