    Everything has scaffolding
    plus programming
    and dynamos
    and matter
    and energy
    and pattern
    and motion
    and exchange
    and spatial position
    within the sequential unfoldings and foldings that we call time.

    Conscious and Subconscious scaffoldings are the constructs and concepts that determine and define where and how we organize our comprehension of our systemic world. Proof Process is such a scaffolding. The scaffolds scale from macro to micro, from tight foundations to complex lattices.

    Matter and Energy scaffoldings, the Corporal scaffoldings, are the generative and dynamic forms and frames that determine and define where within a system something exists, connects, exchanges, changes, replicates, activates, integrates or grows. These scaffolds scale from macro to nano, from rigid to flexible to entirely robust.

    A city is a scaffolding. An economic system is a scaffolding. A tree is a scaffolding. A molecule is a scaffolding. A perception or understanding is a scaffolding. I am a scaffolding. So are you.

    Spiders may build a web. Build themselves.

    Humans build an Internet, roads, skyscrapers, nanotubes. Build themselves.

    Life forms build proteins and cells. Build themselves.

    Atoms and molecules build compounds and physical objects. Build themselves.

    Input + Exchange builds Output.

    There are invisible and unknown scaffoldings that compose the universe and determine and define its existence and function.

    Each of us are our own unique scaffoldings.
    Our body scaffoldings.
    Our conscious and subconscious perception scaffoldings.
    Each of us has our own unique experience with the scaffoldings of the universe.

    And we exist and interact among and within the entire spectrum of scaffoldings.

    If we could take a quintillion megapixel 3D hologram of you right now that would contain all that exists in and around you in your room, and all that exists beyond your room that interacts with you right now, and we could filter and zoom that photo any way we wanted to (layers, dimensions, size, activity), what do you think we would see? What do you think we would learn?

    Would we see all the scaffoldings?

    For conscious and subconscious scaffoldings, the hologram image set would not be relevant. You can light up my brain but cannot see my thoughts or derivations. We would need to invent a visualization engine that constructs systemic models of our conscious and subconscious programming, sensory input, memory, processing and behavior.

    This is what we are building with our Visual Y project – a visualization engine designed to represent the systems and complexity of mental constructs and the constructs of matter and energy that take a tangible form.

    All living things carry an inheritance that governs their behavior. We possess an adaptive patchwork of genetic programming that affects how we experience and interact with the world. In addition to our genetic inheritance, we rely on another inheritance – the fabric of life experience and acquired systems that guides us through our lives.

    Culture, relationships, education, language and institutions are passed down through generations, forming the world we live in today. This inheritance is rich, but it also limits our potential by leading us to believe that this is the way life and civilizations must be. The world has changed, but out genetic programming and any of our cultural systems have not. In some ways we have adapted to interact with a world we no longer inhabit. In this complex world, we know less than we think we know, and more importanlty, much less than we could know.

    On an individual level inheritance also takes the form of a roll of imbalanced dice. A few of us receive a rich inheritance. Most of us are handed an inheritance with limited choices. Some of us find ourselves in survival mode from birth.

    The momentum of our genetics and inherited social and economic systems push us to continue living as we always have. We call these combined forces SLANT.

    Y Worlds aims to step out from the momentum of inheritance, to pull against SLANT’s push. By revolutionizing how we cooperatively organize knowledge across systems, humankind can do a better job surviving, protecting and making our way through the world without illusions.

    Meaning

    We believe in the extraordinary concept stuck with an ordinary name - meaning.

    Meaning is what stands out across all of our senses. Meaning is the signal that stands out from the noise.

    Meaning is the pattern that is deviant,
    the pattern that is sought,
    the pattern that can be recognized,
    the laws of pattern that enable us to understand and anticipate,
    the pattern that we are programmed to focus on,
    the sudden motion, the loud noise, that our genetics require us to process,
    the threat we evade
    the exhilaration we explore
    the filter for every stimuli
    the guide to decision and choice
    the thing we call knowledge

    Meaning is what we remember in long term memory- in short term memory. Meaning is the connections we make to whatever crosses our path. Meaning is the importance we place on whatever crosses our conscious and subconscious processing. Meaning is the message. Meaning is the understanding.

    THE CREATION OF BITE SIZE, PATTERNED, SPATIAL, DIGESTIBLE, COMPREHENSIBLE, SEMIOTIC MODELS IS TO:

    ACHIEVE OBJECTIVES
    EXTRACT & COMMUNICATE MEANING
    GENERATE VALUE

    Meaning is NOT information, data, books, words, compendiums, dictionaries, wikipedia

    Our model of Meaning contains Objectives and Value. They are a construct of memory and processing among our conscious, subconscious and corporal- Y Person. Everything has programming. The programming directs behavior and exchange and change. Molecules, cells and organisms have programming that is their “objective”.

    Human beings have BOTH native programming, and conscious and subconscious objectives.

    We may think we need something. We may think we want something. These needs and wants derive from both our programming (genetic and life experience) and at a higher level, our objectives – which are human constructs – made up of aspects of meaning.

    Objectives frame what we wish to move to or from. Meaning defines the variables that we pay attention to. Value organizes the meaning and objectives within a systemic spectrum – filled with context, perspectives, choices and feedback loops.

    What is real?

    That, of course, depends upon perspective. To quote the Matrix, “If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.”

    If you’re at a magic show, there is a huge disparity between what you perceive as real, and what the magician understands as real. We know, for example, that depending upon your cultural background, you can perceive the exact same event in two different ways. This is part of the SLANT we inherit from the society in which we live, and it contributes to a subconscious human-centered perspective.

    What is, is. We refer to the “real” real world as “What Is”. Independent of observation, but, lacking omniscience, we can only see slices, tiny pieces of the What Is world at a time. That is then passed through filters, biases, and our SLANT.

    In our incessant quest for knowledge we endlessly seek information which we do not currently possess. We try to understand as much as we can. The moonbeam above is not What Is, but it is all we can see. It is a conscious human-centric view. Yet, once you understand that a beam of narrow moonlight does not follow you across the water, your conscious and then your subconscious can add another dimension of understanding beyond the limitations of your immediate perception.

    People love the mystery of the unknown. We love magic. We are wired for it. And we are also programmed to settle for certain perceptions of the world – SLANT – that have no basis in science.

    At Y Worlds, we are integrating each of those disparate perspective views and collating them into a unified set of models that will help each person push away from their own limited, isolated perspective in order to interpret the world systemically. Instead of a dogmatic human-centric understanding, we seek a convergence of scientific lines of thoughts and inquiry that provides a push against the SLANT of inaccuracy and outdated programming.

    There is a basis for everything. There is a reason for everything. And we do not know much about anything. Including ourselves.

    The world remains magical. Life is magical. Human interaction is magical. Subatomic particles and energy are magical. The universe is magical. There are curtains separating us from What Is. And the question is, how badly do we want to see what is behind the curtains?

    Our pursuit of Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems requires conscious effort and intent to better understand What Is in order to reach our potential. This pursuit, the dream of embracing ourselves and our world and What Is, has plenty of room to enjoy the moonbeams and magic of our life while simultaneously taking on the conscious challenges, and sharing the benefits, of never being fooled.

    There are limits to what we can see.

    We cannot see through the clouds. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see what is very small – nano. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see what is very large – universe. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see beyond our immediate vision. We can Imagine.
    In the midst, we cannot see the whole. We can Imagine.
    We can hear the vision of others, but cannot see it. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see what is in your thoughts. Our thoughts. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see the whole of any system. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see the distribution of pain. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see the intimate acts of love. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see we are boxed by inheritance. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see the past or the future. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see our face without a reflection. We can Reflect.
    We cannot see the energies that power everything. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see how much there is to learn. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see our potential. We can Imagine.
    We cannot see the people with great power use it wisely. They are mostly invisible.

    We cannot see the complexity. Until we imagine it.
    We cannot see the limits of our consciousness. It is our Imagination.

    Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems: Imagine what we can do together.

    So, if you think life is sweet - it is.
    But, If you think life is bitter - it is.
    Or try the mix – bittersweet.

    One perspective about life is that it can all be experienced in the living rooms of experience.

    BASIC LIFE - the non-mediated 1000 foot bubble experience

    There is the reality of what is immediately around you.

    There are the tangible objects in the room.
    There are live human interactions. Stories and touch and activity.
    There are smells and sounds and memories. There is language.
    There is light and bugs and dust. There is space and time and distance.
    Maybe a piano or board game.

    Walking out the door extends your living room bubble.
    Maybe live music. A dirty bar. A trusted school. A mountain to bike. A trip to somewhere.

    Each interaction an extension of the previous.
    And there is the room in your mind and body and memory that you’re living in – in constant exchange with.

    All without mediation.

    MEDIATED LANGUAGE LIFE - the word forms and sound forms enter your living room from afar.

    You map these experiences expressed by others into the memory of your life differently because there is a distance – degrees of separation from the source.

    These are the sensory experiences that come from beyond the 1000 ft bubble – that pierce the bubble. What you read. What you hear that is transmitted from afar – from other human beings you probably do not know. Their voice, their written words, their music.

    Books, Papers, Magazines, Radios, Music Players, Phones

    Other people and experiences come into your living rooms through these forms. You sort them, process them, remember some, which are then mapped into certain corners of your being. Being largely composed of words and music, these experiences are projected into your own unique visualizations and meanings. Books drive imagination. Music drives imagination. Imagination is your consciousness caught in its unique act of processing. Mediated Language Life offers limited sets of vigorous interaction, multimedia, exploration, exchange, magic, complexity, challenge, systemic experience. CAL offers more.

    COMPUTER AIDED LIFE - CAL - the interactive digitally programmed experience that expands your living room bubble toward infinity

    With CAL, our mediated exchanges are with source human beings, directors, coders, multimedia artists, systemic architects, complexity guides and world builders.

    There are at least two layers of mediation with possibly hundreds of people contributing to your experience. Not a single book author, not a garage band of 5, but collectives of technologists, dreamers, storytellers, user designers, science fiction translators and creative wonders.

    Computing, Gaming, Multimedia, Cameras, Smart Phones, Smart Machines, Gaming, Electronic Media

    CAL brings us a variant of life that is as real as day. Walk down a digital street and a lot can happen. Walk down an analog street and usually less, much less stimulation, is happening. Interact with a wonderous and kind digital being, or a multiplayer partner from Ethiopia, and you find your bubble has expanded deep and wide. Try to interact with an analog stranger and you find averted eyes. Our mind locks in on the digital and it draws us inside its reality.

    CAL

    It is not touch. It is not human warmth. But on two of three dimensions it can and will try.

    It expands the living room bubble across the world to people and places. It constructs places and experiences and challenges and sounds and colors and alternatives that fill the bubble of life.

    It is not better than life without mediation. It is simply life with mediation.

    One day you are a child. The next day you are an adult.

    Laws divide the span of our lives
    so that one day we are a child
    and the next day we are an adult.

    One day we must go to public school
    the very next day
    public education stops.

    One day we must not

    drink alcohol
    smoke cigarettes
    acquire certain drugs

    vote

    buy a gun
    work
    gamble

    view certain images
    have sex
    marry

    own a home
    or drive a car

    and the very next day
    we can.

    Think about it. We do.
    The time lines drawn in the sand are part of inherited laws.

    Laws do not mean people follow them.
    Laws do not mean they are rigorously enforced.
    Laws do not focus on the needs of an individual or their state of being.
    Laws may not be just, well conceived, flexible, fair, nurturing, systemic.

    The law is the law of the land at a point in time. We do not mean to say all of the laws we have just recognized are necessarily poorly conceived or harmful. What we do mean to say is that many of those lines drawn in the sand need to be washed into the sea and replaced by clear objectives that define the Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems behind each. If we do, there will be a series of interconnected lines that operate as a system – balancing laws with equalities, clear societal interests with personal freedoms. We do need to protect young people. That may be a matter not so dependent on law but on a systemically educated child and a systemically educated public.

    Watching sunbeams play upon clouds, dust near a picture window, people on a hot city street at sunset, or water droplets at the top of the sky remind me of the purity of my childhood mind, unpolluted by the cumulus distortions of other people’s lenses.

    In a very fresh mind, patterns of matter and energy are freely observed, time is lazy and judgment cedes to existential stimulation. That very early mind, and the being incorporating the mind, come with an incredibly detailed set of software programs that define its functions and operations. Each being has its own unique code set. And the codes that make up its programming drive every single action. And every single interaction can result in new code that is either stored in various ways and places or disregarded.

    So as a four year old lying on my back in tall wet grass experiencing the generative motion picture of a fierce thunderstorm fast approaching from the West, my programming, my senses, my nerves, my pattern recognition, my freedom to exhilarate were stronger than they would ever again be.

    My thoughts of the unfoldings were not expressed in words at all yet I remember every detail.

    I remember the smell, the taste, the electricity, the hues of dark, the echoes of sound, the pace of air, the power of the force, the changes in temperature, my shivers. It was a profound sensory experience. It touched me everywhere in ways I long to be touched again. It brought tears of delight. The childish mind experienced that momentum without an iota of distortion from other people’s lenses.

    It was not a storm to me. It simply was.

    Yes, the world is complex. Everything important is complex. And everything in the world has pre-programming, a foundation code. Everything. In terms of matter and energy, there is never nothing. Something is everywhere. What occupies everything, we may never know. And Truth is both simple and complex. The Universe is. Matter and Energy are. Beings try to figure it out. They pursue Truth. But Beings have programming distortions. And when Beings are in the clouds, and cannot see the clouds from a distant perspective, they lose the most important part of Truth – the systemic knowledge. The best pursuit of Truth comes from objective, full perspective, systemic, knowledge driven, open minded third party observers. And there are precious few of those in the world.

    I fully experienced what my language calls a thunderstorm. I did not understand it as a system, as a scientific phenomenon with possibly catastrophic consequence. Those thoughts never crossed my mind. Yet I more accurately and fully experienced what was happening because there was no intervening lens, no distortion to mask what my total being was sensing. But later, as a teenager, it became a thunderstorm that I had learned about from parents, school and books. But the word itself, thunderstorm, distorted the pure, diluted the essence, skewed the accurate systemic meaning of this unique confluence of matter and energy.

    Every thunderstorm is different. Using the word makes it harder for me to see each thunderstorm as independent and unique. Words are a strand in the fabric of systemic understanding.

    A storm suggests a violent deviation from the norm of weather with high winds, yet in many places it is part of the normal system, it may not have high winds, and it may serve to drive a more detrimental weather condition out. A storm may not be a storm.

    No heart attack is an attack on the heart.
    No war is a thing.
    No love is the same.
    No white person is a white.
    No black person is a black.
    No step parent requires qualification.
    No government is a thing.
    Wall Street does not think.
    Politics means lying.
    Movies and music and video games are life experiences.
    Elevators are robots.
    And for one person,
    thunderstorms are regeneration.

    I scraped the side of my car the other day. I mean in the bad way with scratches and dents, not the good way by chipping ice from the side window. I said it was an accident. I thought of it as an accident.

    It was the word “accident” that I should have scraped – not my Prius. Because it was one of hundreds of words frozen in time.

    The meaning of the word “accident” failed to accurately describe what occurred. I was not careful, I was going too fast for the situation, and I should have avoided the damage to my car. The word “accident” was misleading. I had a measure of control that could have avoided, prevented or minimized the damage. The car itself could have been built with better features that would have lessened or eliminated the damage. No matter the dictionary meaning, the word “accident” is used by most of us to mean that a bad thing happened that was not intentional. Neither the cause, blame or circumstance of the situation are communicated by the word “accident”. My message is not that the word “accident” is the problem. The problem is that we do not have a better way to communicate systemic failure that educates all parties and reduces future occurrences toward Zero.

    There are various kinds of systemic human causal factors leading to accidents and mistakes.

    Failure to Fully Understand Systems & Complexity
    Failure to Select & Apply All Necessary Resources

    But what word do we have in our language that is more accurate and comprehensive to describe these situations? I can’t think of one.

    When hospital personnel make horrible errors, we call them mistakes.
    Checklists save lives.

    When economies have horrible problems, we call them depressions, or at best, recessions.
    Rigorous systemic monitoring could have prevented the most recent global depression.

    When something goes terribly wrong in our body, we call it a disease.
    Reducing the introduction of foreign materials into the body systems would reduce dysfunction.

    When well performing employees are terminated, we call it a layoff.
    Creating Nurturing Systems of enterprise valuing the employee equally with shareholders and customers would reduce human trauma.

    When people die in a war, we call them casualties.
    Preventing war by early aggressive interventions would result in no death by war.

    Every one of the following are examples of the failure of those most responsible and empowered to apply Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems.


    We use words such as accidents and mistakes as shorthand for these complexities- they deliver a quick understanding. It takes much more effort to describe the cause and effect, the systemic framework and the science and logic associated with each of these negative incidents.

    At Y Worlds, we believe there needs to be a better shorthand and longhand way to understand and communicate systemic failures. Those empowered individuals who neglect to fully and comprehensively advance Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems should understand that they are personally and professionally accountable for that failure. The Proof Process for adherence to NETS should not wait for the tragedies to come, The Proof Process means objective, well trained third parties should provide constant oversight. Absolute power corrupts and kills – absolutely. Even my “minor” car “accident” should be a major systemic wakeup call that my inattention and casual consciousness could under other circumstances become the cause of great harm. My conscious vitality and conscience are the third parties helping me to monitor and improve my attention and commitment to drive safely.

    Lets stop relying on simple words such as accidents and mistakes. Lets focus responsibility and accountability on organizational leaders and ourselves to ensure that harm does not occur from accidents, mistakes, poor judgements, failures and errors. The use of words like accident or mistake allow us to abdicate responsibility for our own behavior, individually and institutionally. These words mean the leaders of an organization, and the consciousness controlling our own behavior, did not systemically do their job.

    These same reflections apply to good things as well as bad. In the English language we have one word for love and one word for systems. These are two incredibly complex constructs with a spectrum of variations . One word for each?! Think about it. The problem with words is profound. We invented words through an incremental evolution. Our words are a symbolic language. We can certainly continue the invention of language with an assist from computer visualization, allowing us to reach unprecedented channels of communications.
