    All of us have a secret self –thousands of private thoughts and feelings, our millions of daily functions and our unique sense of being.

    We are a self-assembled organism. We are the embodiment of a long generative chain of ancestral matter, energy and programming. We are the product of our genetic heritage and code, the material that makes us, and our life experience. And when we are born, we continue the generative process within.

    Here is a simple way to represent our complex selves.

    Our Corporal being runs on its own most of the time. From nano to macro, everything in our body is programmed. Even the billions of microbes living on and within us are programmed.
    And much of that programming is systemic, meaning what happens is the result of interactions and not just the result of isolated programming acting on isolated matter and energy.

    Our Subconscious processes what is going on within and about, below the surface of our Consciousness. We might be feeling kind of tired today, but until we bring that feeling to Conscious awareness, that tired feeling rides below the surface of complete awareness. Our priorities, biases, needs and desires can live in our Subconscious and never see the light of Conscious recognition.

    We’re just about to open the doors to Y Worlds.

    During the second week in September everyone who has connected with us will be invited to contribute, create, participate, edit, and lead.

    We’re taking on 7 development projects. We’re partnering with some of you for co-development and investment. And we are going to redesign the working website and its functionality around our commons.

    This is a cooperative.
    This is an economic system.
    This is a knowledge system.
    This is a system of sustainable activity and reward.
    This is a system of exchange and value.

    One of the themes at Y Worlds is that we need to consciously reconsider everything we know and believe, and effortfully modify our life view and worldview toward a Nurture, Equality, Truth and Systems model.

    We can be our own programmers.

    There are two models introduced above.

    The Y Person Model is going to be developed into a complete and universal representational model for all things human.

    Here is our Jeopardy question.

    It has inspired revolutions, stayed the sword, brought stoic men to their knees and returned endless happiness to the universe. In it, we place our greatest wisdom and our most discordant humor. It contains the tragedy and the joy of the human condition. It is the outlet for our experience, the flavor of our lives. It speaks to all of us, but has no mouth.

    So what is Art?

    Despite its simplicity, that word encompasses every expression of human beings from creativity and ingenuity to the assemblage of clothes on our back or the tune we whistle. And to make the word even more complicated, it also may have nothing to do with human activity. Art may squarely be in the eye of the beholder as well as in the conscious, subconscious and corporal of the human maker. One can see, hear, experience Art in the sound of nature, the pattern of clouds, in the smell of pine and the microscopic images of bacteria.

    Literally, everything in the universe can be a piece of art. What people create can be art. We are our own self creations and can be thought of as pieces of art. Everything in nature has constructed itself with architectural elements and patterns that can be considered pieces of art. Our construct of the aesthetic and meaning of art is less about human creation and more about the perception of pattern and meaning wherever it may be found.

    In our dreams, most of us aspire to great wealth. We imagine all of the things we would buy, build and do. We’d relish the freedom, power and status. We’d be benefactors and philanthropists. We’d be beholden to no one.

    And when we awake from our dreams, betting on a lottery with next to impossible odds seems like our best chance at Wealth.


    That we have one word for the construct of Wealth is an obfuscation of the very meaning of value in our world. The word “wealth” is obfuscation. Here are a couple of Merriam Webster Dictionary definitions:

    Wealth
    a: abundance of valuable material possessions or resources
    b: all property that has a money value or an exchangeable value

    Wealth has long been viewed as a construct pertaining to individuals and families and not so much to organizations or nation states. One thinks of the tangible wealth of individuals. We usually do not associate wealth directly with companies or countries or the commons or nature.

    Everything I know is a figment of human imagination – best case.
    Worst case – skip the imagination.

    Who I am. What I am. Where I am. All the human constructs – work, school, houses, families, corporations, economies, borders, race, religion, science, animals, words, language, art, life, love, government, cars, offices, laws, armies, time, health, media, weather, earth, planets and the universe, big bang and bada bing. Figments.


    Some of these constructs exist in physical space as we know it. We know the big round thing under us, what we call earth, exists because our senses and our built-in sensors can detect and measure it. The existence of this object is not a figment.

    Everything about how I understand it is a figment. Everything I know about it came from other human beings passed down from other human beings passed down from other human beings.
    I have my own observations. But every one of my observations is caused by, skewed by, distorted by, factored by the accumulation of thoughts, ideas and observations made by millions of humans who lived before me.

    Everything exists. Everything has physical properties. Tangible objects, particles and forces occupy the universe. When these objects, particles and forces form a system -
    a universe, a living organism – these systems have physical properties. Because a living organism interacts with other systems, those interactions are entirely physical. Words are physical. Language is physical. Concepts are physical. Do you believe that your thoughts originate in your brain? Thought is physical.

    Y Worlds believes that the most accurate way to convey complexity is through a constantly evolving knowledge mapping language we call Visual Y. Visual Y is a way to communicate through just one limited form- words. These moving patterns and representational forms carry complex meanings such as cause, effect, relationship, change, state, and more. Regardless of one’s objective or perspective, the Visual Y language will be able to display the necessary comprehensive system of representational patterns.

    Visual Y is part of a large scale, browser-based engine that will collect, organize and distribute knowledge using dynamically integrated visuals and sound. Instead of lines of text, patterns of connection will emerge across time and in physical space. At any time, a user will be able to view research, proofs and sources for every validated entry.

    Current Knowledge is transmitted in piece- parts largely through the lens of our language. Yet our language is an ancient inherited amalgam that is not able to keep up with our comprehension of the deeper and broader constructs of our complex universe.

    When people think of a ‘video game’, they tend to imagine one of two things. The first and probably most prolific image is that of an older, 8-bit arcade game with little more than bleeps and bloops for music and sound effects. The second, more modern perception is the hyper-violent shooter, packed with wanton violence and destruction. Both of these conceptualizations are incomplete, and fall short of the emerging notion of games as a form of Computer-Aided Life.

    In every sense the technology and the thought driving modern video game development has made tremendous strides in the early years of the 21st century. Interactive media has evolved into a set of tools for education, incredibly powerful graphics engines and socially-conscious pieces that have years of research backing them. These resources and experiences aren’t just for kids any more

    In 2007 the first Portal game was released to critical acclaim and financial success. A physics-based puzzle game, Portal has superb presentation, brilliant writing and an incredibly memorable score. Created by a small team of just seven people, the core of the game was built around the manipulation of physics to solve increasingly complex and open-ended puzzles.
