Agreed, I don't read a comment if it is too long.

    ZOMG LOLCAT!

Disagreed. This is like saying in an 'open' discussion, the first person to speak can go on for as long as they want while everyone else has a 5 minute limit. What happens if someone posts several short comments responding to others, and these accumulate to more than the original post? And what about very short posts which perhaps ask a few controversial or thought-provoking questions? Regardless, you aren't required to read long comments, unlike in a verbal discussion where you might have to sit through someone's lengthy ranting. We also don't have to wait our turn, so no one is treading upon another's time.

Are you simply too lazy to scroll through the longer comments? I can understand if you were talking about people posting multiple images which clog up your connection, but this is about plain text. Petty annoyance as far as I can tell.

A far better solution would be to suggest that the web designer make comments clip off at a certain point, where one could click "Expand" to see the rest.

Uh oh, my comment seems to have crossed your limit. Hopefully you still read this though...

I second this opinion. All in favor say aye!
