    Binaural Beats
Everything is made up of waves.

The rate of occurrence. The speed of how frequently it changes from white to black to white to black. It has happened in front of my eyes. I have consciously experienced the effects of my brainwaves to my perception of reality.

Our consciousness is made up of waves.

0.5 to 4 Hz - The Delta range. The state of deep and dreamless sleep. That which contains the unconscious mind. Inner being, personal growth, and rebirth.

3.5-7.5 - The Theta Range. Repository of memory, emotion, and sensation. The source of learning, creativity, imagery and the imagination. Trance. Abnormal in awake adults, but seen in children up to 13 years old.

8.0-12.0 - The Alpha range. Relaxation, lucid mental states. Alert and conscious but not concentrating. Pleasant drifting of feelings or emotions.

12.0-36.0 The Beta range. Active when eyes are open. When one is alert and awake. Focus, listening and thinking, judgment and decision making. The waking life.

These are waves that govern our consciousness. Graphic representations of the soul. And now through our technology we can simulate and recreate these states using Binaural Beats.

Maybe in the future we would be able to combine this technology with other mind altering drugs and substances and discover the ultimate key to our consciousness.

I have experimented on a few occasion with binaural beat frequencies combined with meditation style music. Audio of this sort can be found here.

I've always been fascinated by pioneers of consciousness exploration such as Timothy Leary and Terrence Mckenna. My past mind altering experimentations have always had the good intention of learning from the experience in a way that could be instructive to my waking stasis.

Binaural beats have been an interesting tool as part of this consciousness expanding awareness. On substances such as THC, it was almost too much stimulus for me to handle and effected my sense of space and orientation.

Without such substance, the experience has been equally as deep but without the wild and sudden explosion of interconnnected thoughts, just a deeper awareness of my brain chemistry creating sound that I could focus or not focus on.

Overall it has been a very interesting experiment and will continue to find it useful in my endeavors.

My previous experiments have also taken a more traditional route, studying with a Native American shaman and being honored to take part in a vision quest, and shamanic drumming meditations. Shamanic drumming meditations have been the most powerful experience thus far (performed sans mind altering drugs). The shaman drummed while I laid on the ground for close to an hour. It was then I first learned about theta waves when I recounted the mind altering experience I had during the drumming ritual. A fellow practitioner explained that the overlapping resonance of the drum beats can induce a theta wave experience in the brain. This phenomenon was powerful, at least for me, as I had a very lucid out of body type of experience.

I do believe sound waves such as binaural beats can unlock a consciousness potential that exist in all of us.

My headphone jack on my computer is messed up but I used to use this stuff all the time, it really kept my thoughts and stuff straight for hours after with an alpha to beta wave sequence. I should get this jack fixed so I can get back into this... :)

This is the program I used:

My dad says that he tried experiments at the University of Alberta ages ago with something like this:

I've given something very similar to this a try a couple of times. Very mixed results, I should venture there again sometime soon in a better frame of mind.

I have been experiencing the H+ Program, which is part or connected to binaural beats/Hemy-Sync. I first started with Sbagen on mac, then I found binaurals online. Later a very good friend of mine gave me some H+ tracks. They were very differents to binaural beats because of the conscious part necessary to play during the process.

H-PLUS makes the following presumption, without limitation.

In the course of human endeavor:
    - Any action that occurs once can occur twice.
    - Any action that occurs twice is learnable.
    - Any action that is learnable is teachable.
    - Any action that is teachable is applicable.
    - Any applicable action has intrinsic value.

More information here at sync products and programs

H+ is very different than binaural beats which generally do not require much of the person's attention. There is a few preparatory exercices before really begining to work on the self.
After some hard work with it, I think I can see a bit more what happend to me, or what I have been able to do with H+.

I learned the use of some kind of mental tools to focus on my Self, giving me the ability to "log as root" on me, if I can express it in a very computer-like way, I don't find any better image to say it... It allowed me to localize, identify and terminate a few processes, clean my mind from unuseful stuff, explore myself and discover what I really want. And now building the methods to become more myself. In the begining I always fell alseep, but now I can pay attention better to what's going on... and if I feel tired I often accept it and let go.

Still very new to it, about a year now. I had some long breaks to digest this quest inside me, but the result is really a tool first. What you do with it I guess is up to you.. ;)

here is the list of the different Tapes and CDs of H+
