Where forward thinking terrestrials share ideas and information about the state of the species, their planet and the universe, living the lives of science fiction. Introduction
Featuring Powers of Ten by Charles and Ray Eames, based on an idea by Kees Boeke.

with one foot lost in the twentieth century and the other floating somewhere in the new millennium I am buoyed and amazed by the confluence of ideas surfacing here.

artificial evolution. the emergence of a new human species. downloading human consciousness. digital immortality. the collective inter-consciousness of a global mind. contact with a higher intelligence that may or may not be our own creation.

is it the stuff of science fiction or is this the inevitable future of our species? once a broad-based collective consciousness emerges which recognizes the threshold that we as a technologically advanced civilization seems poised to cross, will the bulk of humankind be able to cope? will they come willingly or with their mind’s claws dug intractably into the past?

does space collective represent a break with society that will survive only as long as it flies beneath the radar? or will tomorrow’s civil wars be waged on the internet from global strongholds of higher intelligence like space collective?

i don’t know but I can’t wait to find out.

This is the beginning of the Now and the Next. With the official birth of SpaceCollective today, a new opportunity emerges to circumvent the past and the hackneyed. I welcome this new space in the blogoverse as a place to boldly crack open the future with other like minded individuals and to see the raw potential of what is to come. Viva SpaceCollective!
