THE ICE HOTEL, JUKKASJÄRVI, SWEDEN

The ICE HOTEL is the modern version of an igloo. The hotel is built using ice from the close by Torne River and because it melts in spring, is rebuilt every winter. The architecture and design of the hotel is different each year. Artists, designers and architects from all over the globe take part in the realization of the project.

HOTELL HACKSPETT (HOTEL WOODPECKER) & UTTER INN (OTTER INN)
VÄSTERÅS, SWEDEN

Designed by artist Mikael Genberg as alternative livingspaces. Formally the architecture is basic (Sweden is known for its red and white cabins and the size is the largest a privat person is allowed to buils without a permit), but the location of the hotels are interesting. Hotell Hackspett is placed 13 meters above ground in the tallest oak in the city park. Otter inn can be found in lake Mälaren, about 1 kilometer outside the city harbor. The sleeping comprtment of otter inn is below the water surface with windows in all directions, with a view of the murky waters and its inhabitants.

THE YURT

The Yurt must be the ultimate tent experience, with only a thin piece of fabric separating you from the surrounding nature. Wool is a fantastic material; warm + moisture & dirt repellent.

Information Collection and Use by SpaceCollective.org
SpaceCollective.org collects user submitted information such as name and email address to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to the SpaceCollective.org service. SpaceCollective.org also collects other profile data including but not limited to: gender and age in order to assist users in finding and communicating with each other.

SpaceCollective.org also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the site. User Profile information including members' pictures and first names are displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction with the SpaceCollective.org service. Users within a personal network communicate on SpaceCollective.org with each other through the SpaceCollective.org service, without disclosing their email addresses.

To facilitate the connection between members on the service, SpaceCollective.org allows users to search for other members using display names. We may also use a user's email address to send updates or news regarding the service.

SpaceCollective.org uses cookies to store visitors' preferences and to record session information for many purposes, including ensuring that visitors are not repeatedly offered the same Web page content based on browser type and user profile information. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site. SpaceCollective.org reserves the right to transfer personal information to a successor in interest that acquires rights to that information as a result of the sale of SpaceCollective.org or substantially all of its assets to that successor in interest.

Changes in Our Privacy Policy
From time to time we may make changes to our privacy policy. If we make changes, we will post them on our site to make users aware of what the changes are so users will always be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it.
