    interesting... it makes me imagine space stations built with these fold-up structures, with solar panels on alternate surfaces. the structures could be transported in folded forms that open out once in position, and change architecture according to the function they were performing...

    or i can see these forms in a desert, like tents on stilts, opening and closing according to the winds, to protect the panels or to regulate energy production according to need or to night/day shift.
