What I found interesting about the Villa Savoye was the topic of landscape being integrated part of living in the inside as on the outside (roof terrace). It seems as the environment can continuously move on within the Villa Savoye - on the lower level through lifting the box and on the upper level through blearing the boarders between inside and outside and the surrounding of the inner living space through landscape.
Within my project landscape becomes the linking element between the three leaves of the trefoil. It produces several different conditions, creating areas on the outside, inside through penetrating the enclosed spaces, and in-between. Scenaries of wide-spread landscape areas alternate with smaller intimate spaces.
Physically this idea of the penetrating landscapes can be realised by using monolithic bodies which are fragmented and broken up. The building becomes a kind of conglomerate of spaces pervaded by light and environment.
Besides creating various environmental scenaries I find interesting thinking about changing views through and into the spaces because of different levels of porosity due to usage of the areas and landscape penetration.
Concerning the hierarchy of the spaces the foyer becomes the center of the building, surrounded by the public areas which are separated through a landscape strip from the more private living areas.
