A New Story for Humanity

THE STORY OF HOMO-SAPIENS IS A SMALL ONE
SO LETS COMPLETELY BUST OPEN THE DEFINITION OF HUMANITY SHALL WE
We need a cohesive narrative for the species, one that's neither mired in tradition nor bogged down by sentimentality. A narrative that takes a more objective, more scientific perspective without being sterile - emotional impact is the key of storytelling.
Humanity is defined by a constant renewal its own self-image, and this dynamic process of re-evaluation should be the basis for our new narrative. Instead of saying humanity is good, humanity is bad, humanity is this or that collection of adjectives, we will attempt to describe humanity as a fluid species, interested in reaching beyond its current state of being into the unknown. For the moment, we can use the term humanity loosely to describe, not just homo-sapiens, but to describe an impulse. This impulse has catapulted 'humanity' through different states of existence, as it became interested in moving about and going places it had never had the opportunity to visit, so it grew some new appendges ——-

——and it continues to do so.
The process that humanity undergoes through this combination of self-reflection and curiousity superceeds any purely homo-sapian story. This approach leaves room for a potential alien species to incorporate themselves into our evolutionary project, and the human suit is a way of inviting them in. (PS - i think this story could also be well related as a children's story).
