I will not dump my privileged western world angst here, as such a rant is predictable enough to estimate and it's really more of an aside because the issue at hand is as follows:

there is so much going on right now, so much crazy shit, I don't know what do to or how to synthesize it except to (for the time being) just compile the following links that i stumbled across today while wandering the WWW (which of course represent only a small fraction of the "crazy shit" i mentioned earlier) and let them do the talking.
