Bonzai!!!

I am officially declaring a desire to start growing a bonsai tree... I am open for suggestions for favorite species, and growing techniques... anyone out there an expert?

I found these images, and love the styles and species, but am still looking.

Ever since seeing your post and randomly deciding to look into bonsai, I'm totally in the same boat. Have you seen this site? And this one? The first one is extremely in depth. I think I've decided on a ficus.

Bonsais are interesting plants. What's your fascination with them—the trees themselves or the discipline of "aesthetic miniaturization"? Make sure to post results of your progress once you get started.

I think it's more the discipline and amount of time it takes for these plants to get to a "mature" state

I've started a bonsai from a Jade tree. I will post pics of it soon...

Information Collection and Use by SpaceCollective.org

Changes in Our Privacy Policy
