Upon reading the Internation proposal I had already working on a project
    & mentioned it to Megan....

It had been tentatively titled Polaroid Nation, the name now out of inspiration and hopes of collaboration with the Internation project, has changed tentatively. (yes I meant for redundancy)

Polaroid Providence (working title) is a project of art communication and
    understanding human connection through collaboration.

So far, in it's beta stages so to speak, I spend some time taking Polaroids of life and days and the world and universe and then I send one or two to a friend in the mail, with a small quote or illustration in the white part.

    (photos by me)
Then my he scans them into his computer and converts the img (image) files into PCM (pulse code modulation) files, and get's sound out of them, brilliant and sometimes obtrusively brilliant sounds. Then he takes the found noises and creates a song either in response to my photos or in collaboration, meaning not of the feeling of my photos at all but something entirely different and that can only be created by our communication.

    (music by flipull)

My friend is into the internet and web design, also so we are going to create a space that we scan our photos and hopefully more people will do it. Then we can have profile-esque blog-ish sort of thing going on. Each page, all the Polaroids that particular person has taken and uploaded to the site, and each picture will have the option for details, like which other member received the particular photo in the mail...

Once hearing about the Internation, I was really excited to bring polaroidnation into it as a providence or smaller facet or somehow....

I was thinking that if we created a script or program and had everyones photos creating noises, and perhaps the members of the Internation could use these files if they were musicians, poets, noisemakers or what have you, and elaborated on the found sounds, and we mixed them all together as the constantly changing noisy abrasive anthem of our nation!

It's up for consideration and ideas... anyone down?

for whatever reason youtube took this excellent video that actually expresses what she is all about. Screaming like Xena and being profoundly touched by water, as she says "you'll understand when it's all gone"...

This is when she was arrested in venice.

    and she still rides,
    I work in upper ojai
    (estimated population in 2003, 8,006)

i catch her in downtown waiting for the bus next to the
    town skate park.
She wears shorts now, but still
    blades and breasts.
She get's harrassed by the town cops daily.

its amazing what chaos a pair of breast can cause... yikes

"being the iraqi human rights minister is kind of like being the worm ouroboros, always in the complex position of digesting oneself."

doing reasearch for work on iraqi civilian victims and destruction.

I need a break, and tissue.

and also whats with people? Are we violent, sadistic, ignorant, impulsive, selfish animals? Or is that socially created? Is their benevolence in nature? Or is that something we have tried to create? Why?

Since the arguably terrorist attacks on 9/11 a need for national security seems to grow every year.

What used to take a tedious hour, takes three, to check into a flight at LAX (and airports worldwide) and you can't even take lipstick on board due to ridiculous protocols to prevent anything "terroristic" happening to our precious country. Even though statistically on a commercial airliner (part 121) the chances of an accident due to sabotage are about 8% (measured between 1950-2004). So why does our accessibility suffer so much for security measures unneeded?

If there is anything us American's are obsessed with more (besides money) is convenience and our goverment is well aware. Theories that the long wait and exhausting search at baggage claim are preparing our society for a quick scan of a brain chip to alleviate all the time spent and hinder precationary advances for security. Sounds very sci-fi to you? Well sure but this is the sci-fi future we live in right?

Braingate, is just one of the many advancements neuroscience takes us into the mindscape. The firing of multiple neurons to control objects or machine without any physical force is already working in patients of paralysis. The medias pretty large coverage of a "safe" brain chip "curing" the disabled may support the brain chip big brother theory.

My Golden Labrador, Sam, besides being extremely good looking and fun to be around, he's a daunting reminder of the harsh realities technology brings us. Perhaps a descendent of a free scavenger dingo, in bred for lineage, his DNA once roamed the earth long before my DNA had mutated to a homo sapien sapien form. And now, not only does he have a job (therapy dog), sleep indoors on my moms bed, but he's had a microchip, the size of a grain of sand in his ear since I got him.

"oh how convenient!" they say "I'll never lose my lovely five hundred dollar dog again! Perhaps a tracking device on my two year old isn't such a bad idea..." and here comes the futures prophesized by Aldous Huxley and Ray Bradbury, cover your brains there coming

    Depleting a lert logic
    my hypnogogic mind chatter
Sits flatter than the ancients pondered
    The worlds shape.

    I'm really ready

    To sleepytimeape,
    &escape into the inconclusive reality,

of unmateriality and void of consequence.

    My brainsquirrel frequents regurgitated
    Moments juxtaposed intense,
    in a creative auto-pilot performancee

Projected on the back of my eyelids.
