    0070322 PROJECT IDEA
    Project: Studio Lynn, Vienna
Inspired by the asthetic of fluid dynamics in the rayleigh taylor experiment the focus of this project is to work on the gradient between equilibrium and noise or disturbance at the interface of fluids of different densities.
A coloumn of liquid develops, corrugated in its shape, creates eddies, ultimately detaches and breaks into discrete drops. While this is happening striaes are created and different densities of the fluids are visible in their translucencies. There is a gradient between a smooth massiv and a porous, fragile structure or subtle pattern. These characteristics of fluid dynamics i would like translate into spacial qualities and surface arcticulation in this project.

The programmatic organisation of the project is related to the Villa Rotonda by Palladio. The axial collective space corresponds to an half open space, which is public to the inhabitants of the research stations, flanked by private spaces, where access is restricted. Like in the Villa Rotonda these rooms sit on a thickend ground which is an open space penetrated through landscape.

SURFACE ARTICULATION equilibium - disturbance, noise
SPACE ARTICULATION massiv - prorous, fragil

    Laminar flux - turbulence flux
