Why is art the focus? Or is the word used in such a general sense that it may as well not be? Should everyone do this, or will that simply create noise?

P.S. Love the 'alive', my morning is happy now.

Yes, I suppose art is not a general enough term for what I was thinking. And I don't mean to suggest that sometimes tinkering and experimenting is noise, I suppose I would classify noise as sharing something that has no value except in the immediate moment. Of course, we're all guilty of that at some point, but it's a valuable exercise to remind ourselves to strive for better.

sorry so belated :)

Some possible responses:
"The best use of life is to spend it for something that
outlasts life."
William James

"Whatever you do is insignificant, but it is important that you do it ."
Mohandas Gandhi

and i love the phrase throwing one's self into the abyss of time .. though i suspect this state is quite rare among human surroundings & is 4 those not afraid of losing themselves for the sake of some kind of great otherness to emerge.

Or .. as Mr Niettzsche have said:
"And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
