The colors associated with "low-touch emotions" are more subjective compared to the rather expected decisions for the HTS. I may go back & revise the HTS after all. It may also be wise to juxtapose the HTS & LTS on the same spread to emphasize a dichotomy. We'll see.
My book will, in hope, communicate the sensation of positive and negative touch through visual color references.
The breakdown:
By interviewing numerous individuals about the emotions felt when one is touched vs. not touched, I have come up with a list of 19 "high-touch" emotions and 19 "low-touch" emotions that correlate...
As previously discussed, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's concept of flow was initially very narrow in its application. Soon, however, other scholars started to apply this wonderful idea to other areas. One of the most important areas where it was applied was in sports. The idea that there is a mental state where a person can perform at optimum while...
I've been asking people what has been their most ecstatic moment in their life, why, and how they felt both physically & otherwise. This post is meant to be a repository of their responses, and nothing else, i.e. you will not find typographic experimentation in this post. That will come later on in other posts. There are also...
The following is a list of moments when I have felt ecstatic, along with the reasons why I felt that way:
• When I ran very good 5Ks that I felt I was in the zone. I felt no pain and felt like I could just keep going and going. I felt like I was going with the crowd, being carried by it, and that I just needed to keep doing what I was doing...
Hungarian psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi has done research into something he calls flow. Flow is a state of mind in which a person is totally concentrated in an activity and is and is at an optimum level of performance. This phenomenon was initially proposed by Dr. Csíkszentmihályi to be applicable in extrinsic applications such as...
A classmate of mine was kind enough to take notes for me while I presented my research findings to the class on 17 April. Below are the notes:

I am making a book of colors that correlate with the emotions one feels when they are touched/not touched by a human being. You can view my 'very' rough draft right Here

nothingness/stripped
After everything is stripped from you-clothes, house, belonging, family, friends, acquaintances- what is left of you as a person?
What does it mean to be a social being and to be part of a good community-a bad community?
What does it mean to be an individual?
I want to research the result of what...

Human connections through senses: MEDITATION
After thinking about what really makes us HUMAN in first place, I thought it is extremely important to fully realize ourselves and learn who we are. As a human being, we do have unique ability to use 5 senses;taste, touch, see, hear, and smell. All five senses play important roles in connecting...

Frank Herbert wrote that: “The beginning of knowledge is the discovery of something we do not understand.” And of course who in his true and integrated mind will not agree to this statement?
So let us start or begin our knowledge of the coming singularity by observing the prediction wall that is in front of us, the...
In considering the idea of branding the human species, one thing stuck out to me the most, which is this idea that we are all somehow interconnected into a society of control, be it at school, home or the workplace. In researching Deleuze and Foucault's essays, I realized just how complicated the matter of "individuality" really is and...
