Progress Report 847F
The new section of the station should be opening soon. The main growth has been completed. We will continue checks to determine when the inner layer of processing cells has developed enough to support life. These new developments are very exciting for me and everyone on the growth crew. This is the fastest we have ever been able to grown a new section. We have been under great pressure from the head council to speed up the growth process. The additional funding they provided has fueled many innovations within the growth crew. But we have had to keep these developments from the main population, even our own families. The increased speed in growth has been necessary to help relieve the overcrowding that the recent population boom has caused.
Progress Report 864D
The head council has recently put into place new birthing restrictions to help control the population growth. The new decision was not received well by the public, but the overcrowding throughout the station has caused many of them to quietly accept the decision. We now have five new sections that are inhabitable along with six more that are in their final stage of processing cell growth. Under the current pace of growth the station will have doubled in size within the year. I have been greatly concerned that no new sections have been open to the public. Returning to my quarters from work on the new sections is quite a shock, moving from empty hallways to crowded corridors and rooms. Most people have been forced to take in roommates in the already tiny personal quarters. I along with the rest of the growth crew have yet to forced take in a roommate. The council is granting favors for us to secure our silence over the new completed yet unopened sections.
Progress Report 984H
All births have been suspended. We have doubled the stations size but council members and their families are the only ones occupying the new sections. We have not been able to convince the council to open up the new sections to the public but they are using most of the new space for food growth to help combat the shortages that have been occurring.
Progress Report 1092B
Finally the restrictions have been lifted, the new sections have been open to the public, and moral in the station has lifted. The population of the station has been greatly reduced in the past few months. The council offered free transport for any families or individuals that wanted to leave. The cramped conditions and lack of food caused people to rush for the opportunity to strike out on their own. While we were secretly growing the station, the transport crew was developing new long rage ships for this exodus to occur.
