    NICE LUGGAGE
it seems like we are discovering new things everyday. that innovations are moving everything forward, or upward. technology, medicine, science. it's all going up. but when i get into an argument, i know deep down that i am just as confused as the very first being capable of communication and thought. even though each evolutionary step has as played this role that has been played more than ten thousand times before, i feel like they have learned nothing and that they will continue to learn nothing. in a line graph, technology, medicine, science and the lot would all have an upward trend. but this matter would be flat and i feel like it will always be. i guess i'll call it the MONOTONOUS LINE, or maybe THE UNCHANGED MELODY (which sounds more poetic. awesome!) and it is a fool's errand to try break it's routine. every form of man will hand this luggage to the next until our demise.

Nice one. "The bigger you build the campfire, the more darkness you'll reveal." I'm not sure (like you) that anything is going "up", it's simply going. We're not advancing in any sense that we can understand on a personal, meat-brain-consciousness-based level, I think progress on the level of evolution means something entirely different. What may seem like decline might actually be a beneficial situation, but perhaps just not according to the affected individual's personal goals and beliefs at that very moment in space-time. Things seem to be way more complex and "impersonal" than that.
