as discussed in class emergence seems to happen from a set of rules. a lot of times this is done with software, but it has also been down by hand. i think this is a good representation of emergence the representation here adheres to certain rules. but unlike a program, these rules can be broken. making the emergence a little bit more unpredictable do to certain illogical processes.
amidst all the innovation, one thing that is emerging is our unique "footprints." we are constantly being monitored or leaving traces due to the emerging technologies.
