In the 1970s space colonies were considered to be a viable alternative to a life restricted to planet Earth. The design of cylindrical space...

Where forward thinking terrestrials share ideas and information about the state of the species, their planet and the universe, living the lives of science fiction. Introduction

In the Final Fantasy X world there is a popular game called Blitzball that is played in a huge ball with a zero-gravity environment.

Quidditch [from Harry Potter, duh] is a game played in gravity but the players use a magical broom that lifts them off the ground and the play in a more 3D space. In space a game such as this could exist. I say 'Let's do it!'

From the book 'Bio-Architecture' by Javier Senosiain. This book seems to relate architecture and humans/animals.

    SAFE

This exhibit displayed shelters, clothing, etc. that were designed for safety in our world. A lot of the exhibit is political and can help us think about structures in this world that we may not want in space. Since some of these designs were made for extreme cases there may be some materials that may be of interest to use.

    Mini Memory Chip

Think big. No, no, my friend. Think small immediately. In space you need your space and big things just will not do up there.

    Memory Chip

"Ted Berger has spent the past decade engineering a brain implant that can re-create thoughts. The chip could remedy everything from Alzheimer’s to absent-mindedness—and reduce memory loss to nothing more than a computer glitch."

    DIVERSA
    Product: Phyzyme™ XP

Diversa created this enzyme to enhance animal feed for poultry and pigs. These animals do not digest 70% of phosphorous in their food, which they need for bone growth, but the excess phosphorous they excrete is harmful to the environment causing eutrophication in local waters. Phyzyme™ XP reduces the use of phosphorous in animal feed thus conserving resources and making animal production more environmentally friendly until the day we do not need animal production at all. Become a vegetable-tarian today and save us all!

    Product: Luminase™ PB-100 and Luminase™ PB-200

Diversa created these enzymes to reduce/eliminate the harmful chemicals used in the paper industry to bleach paper. Enzymes are environmentally friendly as waste. Enviornmentally friendly processes are necessary for space island occupation as you do not want to get rid of any resources, but you also do not want a lot of waste that will kill you in your island paradise.
