5 years ago as I was surfing through wikipedia's endless pages reading about blindness I came across the term prosopagnosia ,a disorder of face perception where the ability to recognize faces is impaired .
The cause of the disorder : something goes wrong with this group of highly specialized neurons in the visual cortex(back of your head). I got super excited since I interpreted this as the solid proof of face being the most crucial interface for us human beings.

Moreover prosopagnosia could be considered as a very tangible evidence for our collective evolution, staring at each other's face for thousands of years leads to specialization in face recognition etc etc...
